Inno+ presents new Airwasher with Heat Recovery concept during the VIV exhibition in Utrecht
Inno+ is the Dutch market leader in air washing, climate control and renewable energy for pig and poultry farming. The company will introduce a new concept for farmers who want to invest in air washing equipment for reducing ammonia, odours and dust during the VIV exhibition in Utrecht. The air washer can be optionally specified with an integrated heat recovery system. This combination results in an energy saving of up to 87%. The recovered heat is used to improve the climate in the livestock building, which in turn results in improved animal health and more effective feed conversion. Inno+ will launch and market its new concept under the name of Triple EEE.
87% energy saving through heat recovery in pig farms
Pigs generate a great deal of heat which is generally extracted from the building via the ventilation shaft. There is good news for users of Inno+ air washing systems. They can now combine their air washer with an integrated system for recovering heat from the livestock building. In the new Triple EEE concept, fans force the warm air from the building through the air washer. The washer filters ammonia, odours and dust out of the air. The warm air (22 °C to 24 °C) is used to heat the air washing water. The air washing water subsequently passes directly over an integral heat exchanger. The fluid in the heat exchanger absorbs the heat, reaching a temperature of between 16 °C and 20 °C. An energy-efficient circulation pump then transports the heated water from the heat exchanger to the building's air inlet duct. The cold incoming ventilation air is brought into contact with the heated water at this point.
More heat in cold periods leads to an improved environment in the livestock building and better animal health
The new Triple EEE concept from Inno+ makes it possible to heat all the incoming air entering the livestock building to at least 8°C, even in the winter. This means that farmers can still ventilate optimally on cold days. As a result, they can mitigate damp, draughts and climate fluctuations inside the livestock building. Triple EEE is renewable energy in its purest form. In addition to providing energy for heating the incoming ventilation air, it also delivers sufficient energy for heating floors in the gestation or farrowing crates. The use of more affordable heat in livestock buildings results in better animal health. Triple EEE reduces energy bills by 87% compared to conventional systems for heating livestock buildings. Furthermore, more heat in livestock buildings also leads to better feed conversion.
Combinable with all Inno+ air washers
Heat recovered from livestock buildings via the Triple EEE concept can be used in combination with the Biological, Chemical and Combi air washers offered by Inno+. The Triple EEE system for heat recovery also includes an Internet browser-based management system that gives livestock farmers exact information about the current situation and access to historical data at any time of the day or night.
